Dr. Berg talks about his opinion on the Alkaline Diet. Every different part of your body has a different pH. The blood pH is between 7.35 – 7.45, anything above 7 is alkaline and anything below 7 is acid. The colon, urine, and stomach pH is acid.

So I'm going to give you my opinion on something called the Alklin Diet.

There's just a lot of confusion on pH,

so I'm just going to give you my viewpoint on it.

Every different part of your body has a different pH, okay? The blood is

operates between 7.35 and 7.45. This is a very narrow band of pH.

And anything above 7 is alkaline. Anything below seven is acid. So the blood is just slightly alkaline.

But the large colon is acidic. The urine is acidic, the stomach is acidic.

So when you're supposed to avoid foods that are acidic and consume only foods that are alkaline,

assuming that you're more healthy in an alkaline state, but what about the large colon and the stomach?

Should we make that alkaline too? And of course, disease and cancer is more acid, so all we have to do is alkalize you to get you healthy.

So here's the most important thing you need to know.

The pH factor in food is not what makes that food healthy.
