Summary

I thought there wasn’t another me out there. But it seems that there is. This woman is undoubtedly my soul sister. Leila Hormozi is a phenomenally successful woman. She started a company called Gym Launch and now owns three 8-figure businesses! Not bad for somebody whose mother tried to commit suicide in front of her when Leila was still a teenager. But instead of being broken by her tumultuous upbringing, Leila used it to become strong. She pushed past the guys at the gym to build her body, and studied hard to develop her mind. The results speak for themselves. It also turns out that both of us have a liking for telling it like it is, so let’s get to it.

Well, hey, hey, hey, welcome to the Kim Conschool podcast.

Nobody cares. Work harder. What have I got in store for you today? Well, today I have an

0:15.7

absolutely epic interview with a fabulous woman who I truly believe is a soul sister of mine in this

0:25.0

lifetime. Sometimes I think you meet people who are kindred spirits in a way and very rarely,

0:31.6

very, very rarely do I meet someone who truly is like me, who I'd consider to be a soul sister. And I would honestly

0:40.1

say that Leila Hormozi, who is my guest today, is one of these women. And she was introduced

0:46.7

to me by a mutual friend, Ryan Moran. Thanks, Ryan for that, by the way. And after interviewing me on

0:52.1

his podcast, Ryan said to me, have you ever heard of Leila Hormosey?

0:55.4

And I said, no, I never have. And he said, you need to meet. He said, you two are like peas in a pod.

1:01.6

You are so similar. I actually think that you guys would get on so well. So I immediately reached out to her, as I do whenever someone tells me that, you know, I would, you know, really get on with

1:10.8

someone. And I said to her, you know, hi, Ryan and, you know, said that we should meet and, and, you know,

1:16.2

my name's Kim and blah, blah, blah. And she came back and she was like, oh, hey, nice to meet you.

1:19.7

And I love connecting with new people and we should make time to catch up. And so we actually actually made a date through our executive assistants as that's how it's done these days.

1:29.1

You don't actually pick up the phone and call someone. You have your assistant to it.

1:32.1

And so we made a date to chat on the phone. And then it was during a week whenever we were

1:36.0

mid-launch and I was just absolutely exhausted. And unfortunately, I had to put her off at the last

1:39.6

minute. But I said to her, listen, why don't we do a podcast interview? I said, you know, rather than, you know, doing a chat or whatever, having a chat, why don't we do a podcast interview? Because I have heard that you have done amazing things in the world. And she was like, yes, okay, let's do it. So let me just tell you a little bit about Leila. So Leila is a very extraordinary woman.

2:02.9

She had a pretty difficult upbringing, which she will talk about during the podcast interview.

2:07.3

And she and her husband, Alex, have built three companies worth eight figures each. They did

2:15.3

$75 million. I think after five years, now I need to fact check that,

2:21.1

but I think the company was started in 2013, and I think five years later they did $75 million

2:26.1

of business with one company called Gym Launch. And they have gone on to bigger and better and
