Hi, Dr. Laura. It is a pleasure to speak with you. I've listened and learned and grown with you

down through the year since the days of the chicken dinner. It's very fun. And I'm a little nervous

to speak with you today, but I wanted to talk to you about my son. I have two children. They

are twin teen year olds. My partner and I married to a male adopted them officially at the age of

nine. My son joined our family when he was four. My daughter did not join our family until she was

seven. They split them up for a period of time. And the challenge that we're having at present is

my son periodically feels sweet, primarily, sometimes just food, but it's more along the

candy or the chocolate line of things. Sometimes with a sister and sometimes solo. Most recently in

the past couple of weeks, it's been at an escalated level. And I should say the other times when I

talk to other parents, it seems to be in line with what a lot of kids are doing. It's not really an

out of control thing, but the past couple of weeks have been what I consider to be more out of control

because it's not impunger. He says he doesn't, when I ask him, why do you not ask? Any circumstances

he doesn't want to ask. And it's been where he could have eaten lunch already and just decided he

wants some Doritos or a piece of chocolate, or he put sugar on an apple. May I ask you a question?

May I ask you a question? If this garbage food is not in the house, it can't be eaten.

This is true.

When just stop on this, just stop there. Just stop there. This is crappy stuff for everybody.

You, your partner, the children, why is it there?

The answer, which I guess I'm kind of silly, is that I enjoy these kinds of things as kids.
