0:14.0	Hi Dr. Laura, thanks for taking my call. I've listened to you for a long time. So I was a single mom for some years.
0:24.0	Is that divorced widowed or never? Is that divorced widowed or never married?
0:29.0	Dores.
0:30.0	And was dad in their lives?
0:34.0	Yeah, I've three children when my son was a baby. He left, but he left all of us. He's no longer in the picture. He had a lot of mental health issues and it's probably better that he's not in my picture.
0:50.0	So what mental health issues were not apparent during like dating time?
0:57.0	They were apparent. We were very young, but they were apparent all along.
1:09.0	You weren't concerned?
1:12.0	No, I definitely was. Yeah, I was just very young. We had met in towards the end of high school. We were very young together. Then I had my daughter very young.
1:24.0	And then it became, I don't know if let's just get married and have more. And then by the time we were like 26, he had left and I had three pretty young kids.
1:40.0	Okay. Then what happened?
1:47.0	So I was I think pretty pretty good single mom. I've really juggled.
2:01.0	And what I could to be there for them. I had a very supportive family. I have a very supportive family. They help.
2:08.0	And yeah, we just kind of made it work. I met a another single parent and dad at my son's school.
2:19.0	And he also had full custody of his children. And we became friends for a while. I did lots of stuff with the kids together just as plenty because the boys were friends at school.
2:31.0	And then started dating and then we got married last year, a year and a half ago.
2:39.0	I am now a stay-at-home mom to all of the kids. It really is. I know how you feel about blended families, but it really is.
2:49.0	It feels like a lot of things have turned around for both of us. We're very happy. We raise the kids as, you know, all of ours. Like I said, I'm home with them.
2:58.0	He's working and we've kind of made the best of a difficult start to both of our situations.
3:06.0	That being said, his parent moved from out of state while he was a single parent to help him.
