Hi, Dr. Laura. Hi, I'm so excited to have you have you have you take my call.

I'm coming over. I just want to say that I've been listening to you about a year and I've purchased two books, which has been a great big help to my marriage.

So I've been married for nine years in my husband. We have three kids and recently ran into an issue after a family trip that we took with his family.

So where I constantly feel as if my husband prioritizes his family's feelings above mine.

And he will, you know, actively defend him. And, you know, he will feel like correcting me even though I don't realize if I did anything wrong.

Well, can you give me, okay, this is your perspective. But if you could give me some facts, that would be helpful. So give me some examples of what you just explained.

Okay, so we went on a family trip and back in May with his family. And while we were at 20 minutes in the park, there's my first time with my kids being there.

And we wanted to do some things with our kids. Well, I wanted to do some things with our kids by going for more rides. And his parents and his sisters were kind of ready to sit down and eat.

And so I kind of like, you know, it's kind of like a fandom between me and his dad. I'm like, you know, you really want to go ride tomorrow. So we're going to eat later or we'll just meet up with you later. And of course his dad is going back and forth with me.

And he felt really bad that I was going back and forth with his father, you know, about this. And I just said, you know, he wanted to correct me on it. And I didn't feel like I was wrong.

What do you mean correct you on it? How did he correct you on it?

Well, he wanted to tell me how uncomfortable it was for me to be going back and forth with his dad about not wanting to go and eat with them, but wanting to go and ride more rides with the kids.

And the same thing happened. Okay, stop, stop for a moment so I can understand. Okay. Okay.

Where was this trip to? Just give me the city. It wasn't this old Florida.

And where do you live? Indiana.

And how did you get from Indiana to Florida?

Two planes. We had to do two flights to do two different planes. And by the way, this is an aside who paid for all this.

We paid for me and my husband paid for our family and everyone else paid for their for themselves. Okay.

Let me just say that courtesy when you are doing something with a family that you try to stay together and do things as a family.

Okay.

So sitting down and breaking bread together is part of what a family does to bond.
