Legends and media, Kierna Mayo, Kevin Powell, we were having a conversation before the

break about ownership. And to me, this is a question of power, right? This is, I think about

cash rules, everything around me, cream, get the money. You know, there's so many moments

in hip hop that completely, to lexicon, everything, you know, even how we dress. I was telling

somebody, you know, I was doing, you know, permed hair and stockings, and then hip hop came along.

You know, we were wearing slips and then hip hop came along. I was like, wait a minute. I could be comfortable and still be, you know, amazing.

And yes, and we can have our own clothes and labels.

Something happened.

And it broke forever.

But we somehow didn't, I don't know if we took full advantage.

I don't know if we took full advantage.

So loaded, you know.

I don't know that any individual could have ever had a complete

appreciation for the ways in which hip hop would inform almost everything.

Everything.

50 years later.
