All right, I am recording this in the middle of gift-giving season here at the end of the year.

0:08.9

But whether it is that time of year or just if you think of gifts to give others, maybe it's our birthday or some other reason, my favorite gift to give.

0:22.7

Again, it doesn't matter when this is,

0:29.3

holidays, birthdays, anything. My favorite gift is the gift of my time. Now, as a non-renewable resource, right, that is part of why the value of that is gold. And unfortunately, in today's

0:36.4

world, you know, this gift is getting increasingly

0:39.2

rare. We seem to have, you know, packaged efficiency and effectiveness and small doses that we can

0:45.7

throw out there. I think that's part of what makes this gift feel so special, right? Sometimes

0:50.9

1:23.6

three shows that we've recorded. If you haven't listened to them, I'll recommend them right here.

1:27.6

One is with Dr. Anna Lemke. That is on addictions that we have to technology phones and whatnot,

1:33.6

how that addiction to technology is actually killing the conversation. Episode one, and then another

1:39.9

episode, sorry, not episode one, but that is the first episode that I wanted to share as a part of

1:44.5

this conversation. The second one is with Matt Abraham's. Now, this show is on how to speak

1:49.6

confidently in any situation, especially small talk. And you say, well, I don't want to get good

1:54.9

at small talk. You'll find that if you are good, that this actually can be valuable in getting

2:00.3

people, family members, friends,

2:02.5

others that you might want to get closer with to help them to open up. And the third show I wanted
