Family traditions, they can be as simple or as unique as you want them to be.

In fact, here's my husband and I do in our annual, decorate the Christmas tree cheerleader style.

We're both 52 now and he still lets me climb up. Now the dismount

isn't as pretty as it used to be. I'm Terry Savelle Foy, your cheerleader of dreams and I

thought I'd do things a little different this week since it's Christmas. You know I have this

little countdown in the kitchen with the little countdown to Christmas,

and my husband keeps messing with me, switching all the numbers, but I know it's this week.

So I put together my favorite family traditions that we practice and some I learn from other people,

plus my five favorite games to play at Christmas.

Number two, matching pajamas.

You know, my daughter and I've done this since she was a little girl, and for some reason

my husband just won't play along with this, but I think it's so cute when families wear

matching jammies.

But Cass and I've done this for years, and it's just fun to have these goofy memories and

cute pictures

of all the years we've had matching pajamas. Number three, make an annual family calendar. Now this is

something I started in 1997 when Cassidy was born and then I started doing it for the whole family.

And honestly, this is their favorite gift from me every year. They expect the calendar.
