Becoming an entrepreneur can be tough, lonely and very stressful.

But what does the word entrepreneur even mean?

So I got out my laptop and I started Googling the word entrepreneur.

I was keen to learn what this word actually means.

Google tells me it's a person who sets up a business or businesses taking on financial risks in the opal profit.

Many entrepreneurs see potential in the market that they're going into.

Very interesting, but I'm keen to find out how you can become a successful entrepreneur.

In total, the most up-to-date government figures that I researched

show a total of 5.5 million SMEs currently active in the UK. Small businesses, zero to 49 employees, makes up 5.5 million.

That's 99% of total businesses.

The UK is also home to 7,655 large businesses, classed as those who have more than 250 employees.
