wonderful street in Hackney, East London. When I first came to this area nine years ago

it was quite run down and rough around the edges. I did fall in love with the community and

amazing diversity right away. Since then it's been going through some

massive transformations and the pace of change has been actually quite shocking.

I'm concerned I will lose something really precious and

our community will change forever. Maybe this is also happening on your street

whether it's Mumbai, New York or Lake Os. Come with me, meet some of my wonderful

neighbors and you can see for yourself what's happening here.

One of the great things about our street is that we have regular get-togethers.

What I'm doing today is going door to door to drop off the flyers for our upcoming street party.

And the first people we're going to meet are John and Carol.

They live next door, they're my very good friends and they're also my landlords.

And they've been a massive help in organizing the events.
