up to us, sometimes private, right, and tells us how they're working for a micromanager.

Yeah. And we dig a little bit and turns out that no, no, not actually.

Not really. Yeah, and you know, it's too bad because they, you wonder how long they've been laboring under that false presumption right you know right and the danger is that not that their manager is

Micromanaging the danger is that they think they're being micromanage,

and then they act in a way that really does a service to both themselves and the organization.

Yeah, they respond negatively and defensively, right?

Yeah, exactly.

Yeah, and as you said, we dig a little bit, you know, we say, okay, what does the micromanager do?

And we're always told, oh, he goes around me and he talks directly to my directs and he totally undermines what I'm doing with the team, he doesn't consult me. He thinks he's going to fire me.

You know, I think he's going to fire me.

Right, and that's not necessarily micro-management, but, and we should probably define that at some point.
