Today I'm going to be sharing with you all my 2026 fashion trend predictions. And I'll be honest,

0:06.3

I almost didn't make this episode because the conversation around fashion trends right now

0:10.6

is an absolute mess. It's chaos. And I'm not 100% sure where I stand on things. On one hand,

0:17.7

people are saying that everyone's exhausted by the trend cycle.

0:21.7

The fashion trend cycle has sped up so quick to the point that no one wants to keep up anymore.

0:28.0

It's exhausting and it's wasteful.

0:30.1

And on top of that, it's actually become not cool, in some people's opinion, to keep up with trends

0:36.2

because it's a sign of being chronically

0:38.1

online, which is no longer cool. Complicated, but I see that side of the argument.

0:43.8

Trends have almost become a trend. And the thing about a trend is that it'll always go out.

0:51.5

And so it's almost becoming trendy now to not pay attention to trends and to try to

0:57.6

develop a personal style, try to create a sort of capsule wardrobe with timeless pieces that you can

1:06.6

re-wear in style in a bunch of different ways, which I think is a great thing. But also,

1:11.5

that might also be sort of a trend in itself. Okay, see, this is why this conversation is hellish,

1:18.4

okay? Because it's like a rabbit hole, really. I briefly interrupt this episode to let you know that

1:24.4

2:04.9

So that's one side of the argument that people are sick of trends. The trend cycle has

2:09.8

sped up too quick. No one can keep up. And so everyone's giving up on it and doing their own thing.

2:16.1

And also too, because of the internet, everything is

2:19.2

sort of trendy all at once. Like, we're exposed to so many different types of people wearing

2:25.2

so many different types of outfits. And there's so many different aesthetic niches and this and

2:29.9

that, that we're kind of seeing every single type of outfit possible through the internet.
