Hello, my friends. Welcome back. It is time for the morning mindset. My name is Kerry Green. I am so thankful that you're with me this morning.

And why am I thankful?

Well, it's because this is our opportunity together to get our minds aligned with the truth of God's Word,

so that we can live this day in a way that brings glory and honor and blessing in his name.

So let's get after today. We're going to be talking about those moments when temptation comes.

How can we encourage ourselves? How can we strengthen ourselves in those moments? Friends, we are going to dig into 1 Corinthians chapter 10, verse number 13 in just a moment.

All right, friends, you know what I'm talking about when I say those moments when temptation comes.

Now it could be any kind of temptation, temptation toward greed, temptation toward bitterness, temptation toward lust.

You know there's a big long list of things that come against us at times, that threaten us,

and threaten to cause us to turn away from our God and to indulge in some kind of simple behavior that we know is not going to benefit us or benefit the situation.

What do we do in times like that?

Well, friends, I believe Paul has written for us in 1 Corinthians chapter 10, verse 13, a powerful truth that we need to take to heart and even commit to memory.

So that we can be ready in those moments.

Let's read what Paul says. He says, no temptation has overtaken you. That is not common to man.

So let's stop for a moment and realize what Paul is telling us there.

He's saying, when you feel like this temptation that you're experiencing and the supposed pleasure and benefit you'll receive from it is justifiable because your situation is different.
