them. What was compelling was the account of how that had been allowed to happen. The rape gang

We've been hearing reports of this for years, actually.

But I don't think that I understood the depth of the depravity of what was actually happening.

And then, just like, just like kind of parallel to the book about the abortionist, not just the what happened, the account of the atrocities, but the simultaneous structure, the choices, the behavior of politicians

and health care workers and police and social workers who not only turned a blind eye to what was happening to these young girls in Britain,

but actually enabled it.

And so I not only was unsure about how to start this episode today,

I was, and I still am, very, very torn on how to handle this episode.
