| 0:09.6 | Hello, Gary, league champion. |
| 0:13.6 | We are recording this a little way before this gets released. |
| 0:19.6 | So if this seems like old news, I apologize now. But I am a |
| 0:23.0 | little tired. It's early in the morning. And I went to the Emirates Stadium with my 17-year-old |
| 0:29.6 | boy last night after Man City lost their game to Bournemouth, or drew their game to |
| 0:33.9 | Bournemouth, I should say, and gave us the Premiership Championship for Arsenal. And let me just tell you what it's like, right, Guy, if you don't mind. No, of course. Because I think this isn't a scene to set, right? I'm going, my son says, we've got to go. We've got to go down to the ground, right? And obviously, we're not the only ones thinking the same thing and wanting to do that. But I dropped my car up at the angel somewhere. And then this walk is my life. This is my |
| 1:02.5 | childhood walk. I go past, dare I say it, the screen on the green where I famously see the sex pistols, right? Changes my life, right? 19706. A few blocks down, I go past the Hope and Anchor. You know, this is where I saw so many bands in the 70s, the jam, the police. You know, actually, not quite the police because there was no one in there and we left. But this is my old home. This is |
| 1:28.1 | where I grew up. This is where I fell in love with music. You know, this is, I mean, the Hope and anchor, you know, I played there. We played in the early sort of versions of Spandau ballet, you know. And then from Holloway Road onwards, it's just a seething mass. And I know you want to say seething mess, but it's a seething mass of people |
| 1:44.1 | all heading to the ground. I did that walk as a kid as well. |
| 1:46.3 | I remember starting from the pub because we used to seething mass. And I know you want to say seething mess, but it's a seething mass of people all heading to the ground. |
| 1:45.2 | I did that walk as a kid as well. I remember starting from the pub because we used to have special parking because my uncle was the doctor. So there was a car park down the Hollywood Road that people attached to the club could use. So I know that walk up past that crescent. Yeah. Oh, and past the Town Hall, of course, |
| 2:01.0 | where I saw Frank McClintock sitting on the steps in 1971, |
| 2:04.5 | holding... I know that walk up past that crescent. Yeah. And past the Town Hall, of course, where I saw Frank McClintock sitting on the steps in 1971 |
| 2:04.2 | holding the double cup, you know, the FA Cup and the League Cup, you know. |
| 2:08.5 | Which was the first Arsenal match, first team match I ever went to, was the double cup final. |
| 2:14.8 | Wow. |
| 2:15.4 | Wow. |
| 2:15.6 | You saw Charlie George doing this crucifix. |
| 2:17.5 | I saw Charles. |
| 2:18.4 | Yes, I was there. |
