We are in one of the many, many booths in the press box at Nissan Stadium, which soon will be, I guess, demoed Ryan and probably can't come soon enough from the Tennessee football team when they come here, particularly Music City Bowl. It does not go well. They added another collection or another one to the collection of Music City Bowl heartbreak tonight, Tennessee losing to Illinois 30 to 28 on a walkoff field goal um got a lot to get to we're not going to

belabor the point here um because uh is an important off season is going to uh is here for

Tennessee and um I'm driving back to Knoxville here after this so i got i got to

get on the road and get back i've been home in a few days so um but brian i said this on our no

huddle this is kind of a microcosm of tennessee's season or their season all in one night

bad defense inconsistent offense time untimely mistakes with penalties.

You have some 15-yarders.

You have the off-sides there on third and six.

And like the one moment you can't jump off-sides, they jump off-sides.

You have a sack formal for a touchdown, just losing football for Tennessee. And that's why they

are ending this season eight five and have a lot of questions to answer this offseason.

Yeah, just things you can't do to win a game like this. And Josh Hypold correctly point out,

it was kind of a compressed game. Not a lot of possessions, only three possessions in the first

half that places an emphasis on efficiency.

And that's where this team has kind of struggled for a lot of the year.

They would come out hot in some games and the offense would run into some difficulties

and maybe not score as many points and give teams a chance to get back in it.

That's what happened against Georgia.

It's what happened in some other games where they just weren't as good maybe as the game went on and some of these mistakes that we saw would kind of creep in and
