A little after 10pm on the evening of April 26, 2005, 911 operators in Durham, North Carolina

receive a frantic phone call. Raven Aparoa is yelling into the phone.

My wife, she's dead. He tells the operator that he had just arrived home to discover his

wife, 25-year-old Janet, covered in blood in their upstairs office.

He says she's not breathing and he thinks she's been shot because there's blood everywhere.

And the whole time, Raven is totally distraught, barely making sense while his six-month-old son

Once the dispatcher gets the information she needs from Raven, she sends police and paramedics to the scene.
