I'm Gianna Jalosi with your Fox True Crime Minute. A murder confession closes out a cold case

that was more than a quarter century old. Back on February 1st, 1997, Stephen Edenfield was found dead, stabbed and beaten inside his Tampa, Florida home.

The night before, police say he went out to dinner with his brother and sister, then around midnight left his condo complex and returned, telling the security guard to let in the car behind him.

Neighbors say they heard violence and calls for help.

An hour later, Edenfield's brother found him dead the next day with the word greed written on his

bedroom wall in blood. The case went cold but was reopened in 2022 using genetic genealogy

to re-examine the DNA evidence. In 2024, the DNA profile was linked to an unsolved 2005 sexual

assault case in Illinois. Brandon Gleha identified

as the suspect. The now 47-year-old was in custody in Illinois on a forgery warrant, and when

police interviewed him, he confessed to Edenfield's murder. No word on a motive, but Gleha now faces a
