I mean, I really don't care what your kids listen to, but you might. And this one, well,

it's a little seedier than usual. Parents have different ideas about what's okay.

Some are fine with blood, guts, and graphic depictions of violence,

but not okay with sex, and some are just the opposite.

The bad news is, is that this episode has both.

So maybe you don't want to have this one playing in the car on the way to the

relatives for a 4th of July barbecue.

It was around 4 a.m. on the morning of July 1st, 1981, when several shadowy figures slipped

into a multi-level home on Wonderland Avenue in LA's Laurel Canyon. Once inside they surprised the five sleeping

occupants and attacked them with metal pipes, beating them viciously. Only one of

those occupants survived suffering such terrible injuries that she would never recall anything about that terrible night.

The other four died, likely never knowing exactly what had happened or even why they were

killed.

The brutality of the murders made headlines, but it was Los Angeles in the early 80s, a city that had been traumatized by gruesome murders

ritual attacks and serial killers for more than a decade. It should have been

just another bloody event in a city with a history of them but there

turned out to be more to this particular story. It turned out that the

Wonderland House, believed to be the center of a drug operation, was also a hangout for a

notorious film star with a fading career. The actor would claim he wasn't at the
