The average person probably doesn't know the name of too many architects.

It's not usually something that easily comes to mind,

unless you're in architecture or history buff or maybe just watch the Brady bunch but there is

one name that most will recognize Frank Lloyd Wright he has long been regarded as

one of the most brilliant minds in American architecture and most of us are familiar with some of his famous designs like falling water in Pennsylvania or the Ennis House in Los, which served as a stand-in in the Vincent

Price movie The House on Haunted Hill, and the Prairie style homes that he invented, which

other designers would turn into that most American of home styles, the

ranch house. The homes and buildings that write design were stunning, unique, and

original, and those that remain stand as physical reminders of his genius.

One of those remaining creations was Talliescent, a home and studio in Spring Green, Wisconsin that was built to be a hideaway for Wright and his mistress.

But on August 15, 1914, Tallieson became a scene of horror when a grisly murder spree claimed the lives of

rights mistress, two of her children and four others who worked at the estate.

It was a terrible event that also some claim created a haunting that endures to this day.
