My name is Steve and I'm an alcoholic.

Hi and thanks for that.

And as you all know this is a spiritual concept meeting this morning and I've always understood

that to mean a meeting of alcoholics anonymous with a special emphasis on spirituality which

I and many of us believe is the heart of the program.

We'll hear speakers from most states of Australia and from some overseas countries.

I would like to apologize to any of my friends and I'm unable to get to and do assure everybody

that I will do what I always do and call without favour or without fear but you know it

here to the list that's been given to me and to conform to the suggestions of the committee.

I try and do that in alcoholics anonymous.

For me the perhaps some of you may have noticed I didn't speak of the spiritual side of

alcoholics anonymous I said I spoke of the spirituality that runs through alcoholics anonymous because

I think it touches all sides of our life for me.
