My name is Malika and I am an alcoholic.

I'm a Malika.

I'm taking a look at a clock to try to keep you track of the time here.

So this is my first time to this meeting, thank you Nikki for inviting me to speak.

I have just over a year sober now and have one service commitment at a line group and

that is most of the measurable parts of all have a sponsor we meet about once a week or

so.

And even though I have a year, I'm a very imperfect stubborn person and I barely worked any

of the steps at this point, but I do a lot of other things, look at two in a second,

that really have helped me throughout this year and I look forward to starting to move

four key steps.

But it's interesting, it's sort of become more clear to me that I am an alcoholic, one

of the side became sober because when I was drinking, I did a lot of noticing the things

that proved to myself that I wasn't an alcoholic like I saw at a job, I had friends, I hadn't

betrayed anyone.

I was functioning okay, I had a feeling that I could probably be doing better if I wasn't
