i'm an alcoholic and an addicts and my name is angelo um i'll get some administrative stuff

out of the way first uh my sobriety date is August 2nd, 2013.

It's not my first sobriety day.

I went to, what's that meeting called?

I went to high noon in San Francisco drunk for about three months.

And I thought I hallucinated that cat Lord at that meeting.

And I went back and got my six-month chip at that, you know, later.

And I told him about that.

And he was like, oh, I've heard that before.

So I was born to a heroin-addicted prostitute and her pimp.

This was not a sex-addicted prostitute and her pimp. This was not a sex-positive situation.

This was a situation of slavery and just oppression.

And my mom now has 30 years sober in this program.

My dad died this past summer with 25 years sober in this program.

And I love them both dearly. My dad and I had many, many problems. We solved them physically more than once while I was drinking and while I was sober. And he loved me in his own way.

He just wasn't really capable of being around when I was a kid

due to his own problems and issues.

I grew up with my mom.

It was a really loving situation.
