out of the way first uh my sobriety date is August 2nd, 2013.

It's not my first sobriety day.

I went to, what's that meeting called?

I went to high noon in San Francisco drunk for about three months.

And I thought I hallucinated that cat Lord at that meeting.

And I went back and got my six-month chip at that, you know, later.

So I was born to a heroin-addicted prostitute and her pimp.

And my mom now has 30 years sober in this program.

My dad died this past summer with 25 years sober in this program.

And I love them both dearly. My dad and I had many, many problems. We solved them physically more than once while I was drinking and while I was sober. And he loved me in his own way.
