Eugene Daniels, Stephanie Schriok and Stephen Hayes join the Meet the Press NOW roundtable. Much of Puerto Rico is without power as Hurricane Fiona devastates the island. Queen Elizabeth was laid to rest following a state funeral Monday. Following Ukraine’s territorial gains in Kharkiv last week, Russia has continued to target nuclear facilities, this time in southern Ukraine. Clean water has been restored to Jackson, Miss. after seven weeks, but residents are still skeptical of the city’s water system.

And he returns 50 days out from November's midterm elections with campaign season in full swing.

And our new NBC News poll shows a stalemate in the race for Congress with 46% backing both Democrats and Republicans.

Take a look. This is a dead heat, folks. That number has been

fairly stable in our polling for more than a year now with neither party ever leading by more

than two points. At this stage in the race, the two parties are running on totally different

sets of issues. Republicans are focusing on border security, crime and the economy, three issues
