Today we are going to talk about the challenges of being a female breadwinner and what you can do to improve your financial system as a woman

earning money in today's world. With us today, we have Ellen Jordan. She is a CFP and

woman's wealth advisor. She is also the vice president of Bryn-Mar Trust. Welcome to the show

today, Ellen. Thank you. So let's go ahead and dive right in.

What are some of the challenges that come with being a female breadwinner?

My experience has shown me is that a lot of female breadwinners are busy not only focusing on their

careers, but they're also juggling either their children or their parents

or somebody else that they're taking care of. And it's really trying to focus on all of that

and multitask all of that. And so finances really is something that takes a back seat.

And they don't focus on it and then suddenly it gets to a point where

it's a huge source of anxiety and it becomes a real issue for them. And they know they need to

address it, but they just haven't taken the time to get themselves up to speed with the working

knowledge of what they should be doing.

Okay. And that kind of comes along with some of the investing challenges that women also face. These kind of go hand in hand. What are some of those investing challenges that women run into?

So, I mean, we know they have a hard time addressing their finances like they should.

And then part of that, the piece of that puzzle is investing.

And so what are some of the challenges that come to women as far as investing goes?
