Hi everybody, welcome to the single tracks podcast. Today it's me, Greg, and I have Jeff and Aaron with me.

And we're here to sort of give you our spin on the latest mountain bike news. It's been a busy week in the mountain biking world.

A lot of stuff has gone down for a random week in February. So we're

going to give you our take on a lot of these topics. For more information on all of these,

recently. To get us started, we just had a tragedy this past weekend.

Kelly McGarry, who's a world-renowned free rider, previously sponsored by YT and Diamondback before that, has made a massive name for himself in events like the Red Bull Rampage.

Unfortunately, Kelly died while Mountain Viking in his home country of New Zealand this past weekend, which is just a

massive tragic loss to the whole community. I met him personally a few times and just an awesome

guy. It's just super nice, great to be around. It's just pretty horrible. One bit of information

above and beyond what we've already published comes from a website stuff.co.n.z, a New Zealand website.

The website didn't mention the cause of death, which we hadn't heard before.

And here's a direct quote from stuff.com.n.c. They said the 33-year-old from Nelson was biking on the

Fernhill loop track when he suffered from a

cardiac arrest while riding uphill at 4.14 p.m. on Monday. So thoughts and prayers go out to

Kelly's family and his friends and all the people that know him in our community. I've met him

a few times as well and he was just a really fun guy to be around, so the mountain bike community definitely miss him.

Unfortunately, moving on.
