Inflation. It is the debate in this presidential year, is inflation curing itself thanks to the Federal

Reserve or is inflation much worse than Washington wants to admit? And those of us who shop at the grocery store say we

don't believe things are getting better. I have someone to settle this score.

And the political opinion is, we're doing fine relax things are in order

rates are coming down despite the fact they're the 23 year high and everything's

going to work out.

It's not just posturing, it's perception that's most important.

We in the consumer class feel that inflation is crushing.

You take us to a revelation of something that happened in the 20th century where they changed the

rules about inflation.

Well, so it's really interesting because for the last, I would say, six months,

there's been a lot of talk from people saying what is what's going

on like the economy is obviously doing well by a lot of measures inflation is

going down we're almost down at 3% or so, and yet people continue to be so unhappy and grumpy about the state of the economy.
