Hello and welcome to another episode of telling everybody everything.

It has been a wild week. It is the first podcast of June. June is a very important month in the

Ryan Cootster household. It is Fred's birthday month, Violet's birthday month, my birthday month,

Father's Day, and the mighty hoopla. Around this exact time last year, the title of my podcast

episode was Cancel the Mighty Hoopla, and that sent organizers into a tailspin. I received a message

shortly thereafter from one of those organizers being like, Catherine, when I saw the title of

your podcast, I was worried and then I listened to it and I learned that obviously you do not

wish any harm to the Mighty Whoopla festival. It is an LGBTQAI plus friendly pop reality TV festival.

It's really unique. Like, how do you even describe it I think I've

done that properly yeah it's like just huns you know divas reality stars pop princesses

drag queens drag kings like it's just awesome what isn't it it's just awesome it's fun um but last year

i was sad that i hadn't been invited so that's why i titled my podcast cancel the mighty hoopla

because i saw people's social media posts and i never you know i felt so left out and this is two podcasts in a row that I have said, like,

I don't care, but I really felt left out. Here I am. I think it's a pregnancy thing. Last summer,

I was pregnant with Holland and I wasn't attending a lot of things. I work a lot. I'm very aware

that Bobby and I have no friends and we attend no social

engagements. But I saw all the Mighty Hoopla social posts and Erica Jane was performing. Heidi Monteg

was performing. Those two acts alone. I was like, how if I missed this? I saw so many girl bands and

people just having so much fun.

And so I called it homophobic that I hadn't been invited. Yeah. I accused the Mighty Hoopla,

a very inclusive progressive LGTB. What are the letters? LG. LGBT-I- Plus, say it with me, festival.

I accuse them of homophobia for not inviting me.
