Because presidential primaries are held sequentially,

people are in the field that they don't have the results they wanted in Iowa and South Carolina in New Hampshire.

Like you back in 2020, like you had a lot of people who were excited to vote for Andrew Yang,

and they voted for you in California or Washington State or what have you,

and you were no longer an active candidate, but they had already voted.

We had actually three million votes that were cast for candidates who had dropped out by the time they were counted.

And almost all of them were cast by someone who thought the person was still running,

and then by the time they were counted, they no longer work.

So early voting, which creates more access, also creates a lot more chance for basically lost votes.

And so, ranks as voting would be just a very straightforward way to give those voters a backup, you know, a second or a third choice.

So that's a really logical reason for it.

It's also these crowded fields are very common, and I think the idea of rewarding a candidate that brings people together,

is particularly valuable for presidential elections.

Yep, 1992, and for people who are at least older than 35 or something, they may remember that that was the Ross Perot ran for president, got 18% of the vote running as an independent,

and really created a conversation about what that means in our political system, and we were working with a guy named John Anderson,

who had run for president in 1980, and he had an update in the near times.
