0:06.0	I have a feature recorded five years ago in 2019 at Monterey and as someone who just recently published his 1500th podcast.
0:18.0	I do have to admit, oh, there's a heck a bunch of things I've recorded over the years
0:23.7	that are still sitting on my hard drive. And this Marlborough Challenge with Michael Andretti,
0:30.0	Bobby Ray Hall and Rick Mears, those who won the Marlborough Challenge All-Star events,
0:36.3	which ran from 1987 through 1992.
0:40.0	There's some other winners in there as well.
0:41.7	But spoke with those fine trio, spoke with them in Monterey about this really phenomenal thing that was done for a very brief period.
0:52.0	Was fortunate to be there for a couple of them.
0:56.1	Similar to what we have this weekend,
0:59.7	the Thermal Club in Thermal California
1:01.7	with IndyCar's million dollar challenge,
1:05.1	which actually pays the winning driver 500,000.
1:09.0	Very similar in concept to the old Marlborough challenge. Some differences,
1:14.0	though. With what we have here is a heat raced based participation at thermal. A couple of
1:22.1	qualifying sessions that are going to take place on Saturday, a couple of heat races Sunday morning.
1:28.2	The fastest six drivers from those two heat races go on into that 12-driver finale.
1:35.5	They'll go for 20 laps on Sunday, broadcast on NBC,
1:39.9	half-time in between.
1:41.9	And again, the winner takes home 500 and descending amount of money afterwards.
1:48.3	We had with a Marlborough challenge a little bit different.
1:52.0	So instead of it being at the front part of the season, this was always towards the end.
