I am recording this from my home in Los Angeles, which honestly does not even feel real

quite yet.

The whole experience going from New York, where I've spent most of my life all the way

to the West Coast brand new city, it's a little bit surreal and moving is hard.

It is difficult.

I can't figure out that it is a very difficult thing to do for many reasons.

Moving with a child is another hard thing.

Anyone who's moved, who's recently moved, even if you've just moved down the street,

it's just a lot to like pack up your life and readjust in a new space.

And beyond what's physically needed to just move all of your items and get organized

in that way, it's also emotionally challenging to say goodbye to a city that you've spent

most of your life in.

Like, I always think about how much of my identity is tied to being a New Yorker because that

is so much of what I know and it's my life and it's where I grew up and it's where I

feel to home with my husband, where I was pregnant, where I gave birth, where you know,

mommy took his first steps, but it also, it doesn't feel like a full goodbye to me because

we still have our place in New York, you know, it's going to be rented, so we can't stay

there.

But I don't know.

It doesn't feel like goodbye because we haven't sold our place and then my parents have

their place at East.
