If you're anything like me, movies made your childhood.

Even now, I'll throw on some classic flicks and feel as though I'm returning to the good old days of my youth.

At least, I used to, until I learned that many of these iconic favorites are actually kind of horrifying when you think about it.

From the horrific fate of the Grinches to the murderous ambitions of Willy Wonka,

here are some unsettling movie theories that may well ruin your childhood.

The Emperor's new groove was one of my all-time favorites growing up.

The animated Disney classic tells the story of Incan Emperor Kuska, who gets turned

into a llama after drinking a potion brewed by the evil scientist Isma.

Hate it when that happens. Although he becomes a llama, our boy Kuska can't understand other animals and still speaks in plain English.

When Yizma is later turned into a cat, she also speaks English.

But every other animal in the movie is normal.

Except for a little fly that cries for help saying,

Help me! While being attacked by a spider. There's only

one logical explanation. It was once a human too. Think about it. Isma would have needed

a lot of test subjects when perfecting her potions, and she definitely doesn't seem the type to

care about changing them back into humans afterwards.

Clearly, this poor guy used to be human before Yizma captured him, experimented on him, and released him as a fly,

only for him to be devoured alive by a spider.

Damn, I thought this movie was for kids.

I don't know, man, this sort of cartoon violence just doesn't fly with me.
