I love hearing stories like that. It drives home this point that can be hard to accept until you experience it, and that is

generosity really is a discipleship journey. You heard them talk about this, that when I learned

to trust God

in this area of my life, I found myself trusting him in these other areas of my life. And the Bible

talks about this, that where your treasure is, that's where your heart will follow. If you listened

in that testimony, you heard the word heart pop up again and again. There's a connection here

with what we give and with the heart that we

have and what I've just been struck by in the past year as we've been on this journey together

is that we've spent a fair amount of time talking about the impact your generosity can have

out there, but so much of the impact your generosity, my generosity has, it's in here.

That God doesn't necessarily need your money to accomplish what he wants to do in others,

but he may need your generosity to accomplish what he wants to do in you.

It's a discipleship journey, and we've spent a lot of time, as we've gone through move, saying,

hey, here's what your generosity will fuel. Here's what it will accomplish church plants and

new campuses and helping people who struggle with addiction and rescuing those who've been

sex trafficked and caring for those with special needs and translating scripture into 14

new languages and coming alongside foster and adoption families.

But maybe some of the most significant impact God wants to take place on this journey together

is what's happening in you.
