Let the rivers clap their hands. Let the mountains sing together for joy. The psalmist expresses

in Psalm 988 what we will experience tonight in our bedtime story.

Mountain Journey.

The grandeur of the rocky mountains will be our destination as we experience the wonders of that immense mountain range in Colorado.

To see mountains is to get a glimpse of the majesty of God in a unique way.

The vast and treacherous landscape holds mysteries and beauty.

As you settle down tonight to sleep,

let me take you on a journey through these mountains where you will see the delights of flora and fauna

and be reminded of God's greatness

and his intimate relationship with his beloved people.

Lord, as we journey to the mountains in our story tonight, I ask that you would show us how much you love us

and how very great you are. You formed the mountains, and you set the streams in motion.

Yet those same vast mountains tremble before you.

The flowers bow their heads in service to you.

Bring peace and calm tonight.

Help us to experience the joy that the fields feel in being in your presence.
