Genesis chapter one is where we're going to be today.

I'm reading this book with a terrible title.

It's called the desecration of man.

Here's what the premise of the book is.

The premise of the book, it's a Christian book, and the premise is this.

The society in which we find ourselves in, which everybody's doing their own way and trying to figure out how to accomplish life and get the most of our life to maximize everything to crush their life and be the best version of themselves, what has happened in our culture is the desecration of things that used to matter. The voice of our day would be to desecrate something. This is what it would look like.

That which used to be holy, if we tear it down, that gives us more authority.

If you take a moral structure that has existed for hundreds of years and you tear it down,

you can come back and build your own rules.

That's just the society in which we find ourselves in.

And if you think about what it looks like on the other side of that, you've probably experienced this at your kids' schools or in the workplace, that somebody chooses their own way,

their own truth, their own system, counter and terrible for everybody else around them.

Because when everybody takes down that which is holy, significant,

religious, righteous, and builds up their own tiny little God system, it doesn't do anything

for harmony or unity or anything like that. It just leaves everybody competing for their

own piece of the pie. And I don't know what's happened to my Instagram algorithms recently.

It used to be people falling down and preachers preaching and workout videos. Now it's all the

mom hacks. And it's fascinating to me because I'm not a mom. I don't know what's happened to

my Instagram, but now I'm like trying to figure out all the mom strategies. It's interesting

to me because every mom has all these,

especially the influencers, have all the systems in the world to how to maximize your life. Here's $14 recipe that will feed a whole army. You should do that. I'm like, yeah, I should do that.
