The As I said at the end of Mosiah Chapter 29, the end of the end of Mosiah, chapter 29, the end of the book of Mosiah, the tests of these people's ability to self-govern were not long in coming.

In the first year of the reign of the judges.

This is now Alma, chapter 1, verse 1.

Kimoziah is gone.

He's ward a good warfare,

but it's now time for the people to take up arms

in defending themselves, spiritually speaking.

He left none to reign in his stead, though more accurately he left all to reign in his stead.

Every person was meant to self-govern,

with judges helping to interpret law

and decide cases when there were breaches of that self-governance.

He had taught them and now left them to govern themselves. of that

the self-governance. He had taught them and now left them to govern themselves. He had established laws.

They were acknowledged by the people. They were obliged to abide by the laws which he had made.

But as quickly as verse two, they meet their first challenge.

In the first year of the reign of Alma in the judgment seat, he doesn't get much time to get up

to speed either. There was a man brought before him to be judged, a man who was

large and was noted for his much strength. Now we'll soon find out that this is the Book of

Mormon's second famous Antichrist. His name is Nihor, though we don't know that yet, and he's

the second example of what we met first in Sherram back in Jacob Chapter 7. Our third example of an Antichrist, by the way,

we'll see in Alma Chapter 30 when we meet Corohor.

It's interesting to compare and contrast the three, however. In Sherham's case, he was known for his intellectual abilities.
