Maroni as a treasure guardian. Mr. Radio Free Mormon, how are you this evening?

I'm great. Thank you. We were just chatting before the show started about all the wonderful

twists and turns tonight's episode will cover. Yeah, this was something I've been thinking about

for a few months. I thought about all of the overlap between the stories around Moron, and this

actually started, and the slides are in the show tonight, but I was looking into, again, I can't

remember where I did this recently, but had a conversation with you in one of our shows about references to Maronae having bloody clothes and a throat being a throat slit Spaniard.

And I found some old documentation of that in various critical sources, newspaper articles,

etc. And I was sort of caught off guard by how many of them there were. And I'd put them online and just said, hey, people look at, you know, these, you know, multiple sources pointing to Maroni, appearing to be somewhat like a treasure digger. And I thought, you know, it'd be an interesting episode because I knew of other things that we'll talk about tonight that, that, uh, that overlap these two, these two narratives. And I thought, you know, it would make a great episode for us to go through all of that tonight. And so that's what we're going to do. Uh, any thoughts from you before we jump into the presentation? Well, what occurs to me right now and maybe Don Bradley will be watching so he could take this if he hasn't already, which is that if you have an early account of Marone showing up with his throat slit and bleeding, try and tell me they didn't have the temple

endowment, man. Obviously, they did. Yeah, and he did not keep the secrets that he was asked a covenant

Really? He trots him off. Yeah. That's disappointing. Yeah, maybe reach out to him. He's got a little problem. If you can solve it, maybe he could still go.
