And one of the major keys to maintaining this balance

is not rushing to judgment or reacting to everything that you hear or see.

While the events of life do play a role in upsetting us,

a much larger part of what turns us upside down is our own judgment and evaluation of those events.

These elaborate stories we tell ourselves about the experiences of our life.

That's what really troubles us. And so today in this meditation

we'll work on figuring out a better way to rewrite those stories and see those

events so that we're non-reactive and non-judgmental and we can maintain

and even keel through it all.

So go ahead and find a comfortable position.

Any way that you like to meditate works just fine.
