Summary

It would have been understandable for Mormon or Moroni to focus on the negative as they witnessed the destruction of their people--but they didn't. "I will show unto you a God of miracles," said Moroni in full knowledge that we would one day read his words and his description of those miracles. Similarly, it would be understandable if we wanted to focus on the negative as we witness the hardships our own people and plant face--but we shouldn't. 0:50.7	We are, this week is interesting because we get to hear from two of the primary authors in the book of Mormon. Mormon chapter seven comes from Mormon himself and it's the end of his
0:54.4	writings, presumably one of the last things that he wrote. And then Mormon chapter 8, his son Moronai
1:01.7	picks up the record of his father, finishes it. And there's a couple of small places where we get to
1:08.7	hear from Moronai. And otherwise he quotes others.
1:12.6	You know, he tells the story of ether, or he quotes a lot of sermons from his father.
1:15.6	But there's very few places where we get to hear from him.
1:18.6	And this is one of those places.
1:19.6	And so I love these chapters.
1:21.6	And I love the, you can really, I don't know, sense the pain that they're feeling, which we're not going to focus on,
1:29.0	but these chapters become really kind of sweet and personal as you study them.
