There's a couple of things that I wanted to just lay on the table and have a conversation

with you about.

How did the Supreme Court justify and citizens united the whole idea that corporations should

be able to participate in politics?

And I pointed out that the court basically took the First Amendment and turned it inside

out and said that the right to speak is also a right to be heard and that we average

people have a right to hear.

And if billionaires and giant corporations are stopped by the law from inserting themselves

into politics, from running political ads, then we don't get to hear those ads and our

free speech rights are inhibited because we didn't hear the ads.

That's the logic of citizens united, that's how bizarre it is.

But hey, five out of nine justices on the Supreme Court not only bought that logic but invested

an enormous amount of time and effort into selling that logic to the rest of us.

Now we've got a new kind of logic on the horizon and this is something that has gotten

very little attention about Amy Coney Bryant, excuse me, Barrett.

And I think really we should be paying attention to this.

There's this thing called Fourteenth Amendment Denialism.

You've heard about climate deniers, you've heard about democracy deniers, you've heard

about COVID deniers, mask deniers, well now there's Fourteenth Amendment denial.
