Nobody's going to sit here and argue that.

But one of the most overblown narratives

that is consuming the college football news world right now is that

coaches are leaving the sport in droves or there's somehow going to be a good

coaching shortage in college because of said changes. That's just not correct. People are

acting like college coaches going to the NFL has never happened before, or that it's somehow

bad. Well, need I remind you, the NFL is the highest level of football that there is.

Nobody gets pissed when a AAA player goes to the majors.

Now most people do want to test their merit at the highest level. This happens in everything.

Now is the lifestyle different in the NFL with no academics are recruiting to worry about?

Yes, but it's always been that way. That hasn't changed. You remember Pete Carroll, Urban Meyer, Jim Harball, Jimmy Johnson, Steve Spurrier, and Nick Sabin? They all tested out the league after they dominated in college. It's a very natural

progression and nobody panicked then. I mean hell right now we actually have

guys leaving group of five head coaching positions to become power five

coordinators.
