Monster, the Jeffrey Dahmer story, has become Netflix's second most popular English

language series of all time.

With 701.4 million hours viewed, the fictionalized story about the infamous serial killer is

topped only by Stranger Things 4, which has notched 1.35 billion viewing hours.

Now this news comes as the families of Dahmer's victims criticized the show.

We actually have a new family that's come out to talk about this series.

Her name is Shirley Hughes.

Her deaf son was 31 when Jeffrey Dahmer killed him.

She goes, I don't see how they can do that.

She means portraying him without permission before adding it that it was very difficult

to talk about Tony's murder.

She goes, I don't see how they can use our names and put stuff out there like that,

which is why I haven't watched it and I won't watch it.

I will, I'm a person who, as far as crime docs and true crime, the podcasts and there

are series that I've watched.

I admit that those series I find intriguing.

The series I've watched though, victims are involved or families of victims are involved.

I think it's important to recognize the distinction between the two.

When I watched the first 48, victims families are involved and they're telling their story

because they want to tell the story of their loved one.

Where in this instance, it's so obvious the families wanted nothing to do with this.
