Alabama is a massive brand in college football. They have incredible tradition, and they will always have the

potential to be elite. But after seeing what is happening to them on the field and then the transfer

portal, adding on that Nick Saban's not there anymore, it does seem that they are at an inflection

point. Are there sitting at a fork in the road, deciding which way to go? On one side, you can keep the train rolling and stay national relevant by winning, obviously, on the field.

Down the other path leads you to coming back to the pack of the rest of the big dogs.

And just being another great place to play, but not the place to play.

Now, DeBorne needs more time. He's going to bring in players that'll

fit his system and the jury's still out, but 2025 is shaping up to be a bridge to what Alabama is

going to be next. I remember growing up, everybody wanted to go to Destin for spring break. It was

the place to be. But about halfway through my college experience, it kind of

seemed to fall off and it turned into just another good spot amongst many. Alabama can't turn

into Destin without there being massive repercussions to the current regime in Tuscaloosa,

which means Kalin DeBoer. They're still recruiting really well. The roof isn't caving in.

They're going to have another top-notch roster next year. But if the brand doesn't start recapturing that
