company is one of the number of private companies

that are developing, have been developing Lunar Landers for both NASA and others for profit.

Unlike NASA building it and owning it and not caring how much it cost and not trying to make a profit from it,

NASA switched to the capitalism model a few years ago and so it hires private

companies to build the landers and then it can put its payloads on those

landers and others can also put payloads on these land.

And Intuitive Machine has made one attempt to land on the moon.

It did land softly.

It was moving a little too fast sideways on a slope,

so the thing tilted over. They were able to get communications but they

couldn't really do much science from it but it was an engineering test mission

they've got a bunch of other different contracts for Landers on the moon

they have though gotten, as you say, a jackpot

contract from NASA having nothing to with Luna Landers. It has to do with

Building a Luna Communications and navigational constellation in orbit around the moon.

This is in connection with future missions to the moon.
