Human beings have been building musical instruments for tens of thousands of years.

Chasing different timbers, textures, and ranges possible in the acoustic world.

And then, in the 20th century, a whole new palette of sounds emerged.

This is a Moog synthesizer. Moogs were the most popular and innovative synthesizers of the 1960s and 70s,

and they were the first synths to be widely accessible by musicians across the world.

Nowadays, Moog Music is a very different company, but they still create new keyboards and sounds.

Ephemeral producer Trevor Young took a trip to Moeg headquarters to learn more about

these machines and the history behind their creation. I'd say.

I'm walking through the Mogue Zoom in Asheville, North Carolina.

I'm surrounded by keyboards, synthesizers, and all sorts of other gadgets that I'm not smart enough to recognize.

But they're letting me play on some of the synthesizers here, and I'm getting a personal tour from a very special guest.

all about Moog synthesizer's founder, Bob Moog.

What we have here is kind of summarizes his legacy, innovation, creativity, and inspiration.

There's a little passage here that says, Welcome to the Moogzeum, where Bob Moog's life, work,

and legacy come alive to inspire curiosity and creativity and to give us insight into one of

electronic music's most important pioneers.
