The Storm of the Century. That's how a UN agency is describing the rare category 5 storm Melissa, with its eye wall now reaching shore in Jamaica.

The island nation hasn't taken a direct hit from a hurricane in over a decade, and never

from a storm this strong.

Melissa is already responsible for at least seven deaths, three in Jamaica preparing for the

hurricane, three in Haiti, and one in the Dominican Republic.

And the National Hurricane Center says Melissa has now strengthened even more, with sustained

winds of 185 miles per hour, making it the second strongest hurricane by wind speed in Atlantic

history.

CNM meteorologist Derek Van Dam is reporting from the Jamaican capital Kingston and says

the forecast is terrifying.

That will isolate communities. That will rip the island where that core of the center of

that storm comes on shore. It will take down structures. It will make roads impassable and

isolate communities. The Trump administration is planning another shake-up at ICE.

That's according to four sources familiar with the discussions, and comes as frustrations

continue over lagging immigration arrests.

Earlier this year, the White House set a lofty goal of 3,000 daily arrests.

That's a high bar for an agency that's historically been strained for resources and personnel.

And despite ramping up arrests, ICE has largely fallen short of that goal.

That's fueling tensions between the White House and ICE,

with resources saying there are plans to reassign at least a dozen directors of ICE officers nationwide,

who senior officials believe are underperforming.
