0:26.1	Monkeypox is spreading all across the globe, including here in the United States.

0:33.0	This outbreak really got going in early May.
0:36.0	It turned up in the UK, but then the numbers for monkeypox started ticking up and up.
0:42.0	11 more cases in England.
0:44.4	By mid-May, new cases were being spotted all over, in Portugal, Spain.
0:51.1	Australia, Israel and Switzerland are the latest to report a presence of the virus.
0:56.3	Eventually, hundreds turned to thousands.
0:59.2	Why so many people are developing monkeypox is perplexing scientists?
1:03.8	The vast majority of people who have gotten sick are men who have sex with men.

1:09.4	Two more children have been infected in Indiana, a total of four now in the US.
1:14.8	There are more than 23,000 cases in more than 70 countries and territories.
1:20.4	And this all led the World Health Organization to say that this outbreak represents a public
