Are you ready to hear a story?

This one is about all those feelings that bounce around in our bodies sometimes.

Monkey brain Matilda, written by Brooke Taylor.

Matilda had a dad and a pet snake named Vlad.

She had a ukulele and a doll she called Bailey.

But Matilda had something more amazing than that.

It was cooler than a computer, more rad than a robot, greater than a gaming system.

It was her brain.

Most of the time, Matilda's brain was really pretty awesome.

It kept her alive and pondered deep thoughts and it knew all about and how possible.

But sometimes when she least expected it, a little monkey that lived inside her brain would

go bananas.

Matilda's monkey always freaked out about things that seemed dangerous like broccoli,

bingled tigers and boogers hanging out of her nose.

Then she would feel queasy and a little uneasy.

Uh oh!

Matilda's dad would say.

Matilda's monkey is going bananas.

Matilda's monkey always wiggled out about things that were hard like meeting new people,

trying new things and learning new songs on her ukulele.

Then she would feel powder and a little bit shouty.

Uh oh!
