Matilda had a dad and a pet snake named Vlad.

She had a ukulele and a doll she called Bailey.

But Matilda had something more amazing than that.

It was cooler than a computer, more rad than a robot, greater than a gaming system.

It was her brain.

Most of the time, Matilda's brain was really pretty awesome.

It kept her alive and pondered deep thoughts and it knew all about and how possible.

But sometimes when she least expected it, a little monkey that lived inside her brain would

Matilda's monkey always freaked out about things that seemed dangerous like broccoli,

bingled tigers and boogers hanging out of her nose.
