Township. Former Detroit City Council President Charles Pugh says he has officially resigned

from his position on council. Did he have to do that? I mean, wasn't he hired already?

I thought so too. I didn't think they had anything official, but I think this is just a way

for him to put a statement out. Pugh said he left Detroit because he was struggling with

accusations over in alleged relationship with a young man he mentored. He said I was pretty

effed up. Oh, the city council clerk's office confirms they received a resignation letter

just before three o'clock Friday. They say it wasn't delivered by Pugh. He now intends to lay
