We have sort of a light news morning, so we're going to start with a bunch of COVID-related

headlines.

The first is that yesterday, the former commissioner of the FDA, who sits on the board of Pfizer,

told face the nation that COVID-19 vaccines for children ages 5 to 11 could be available

as soon as Halloween, in a best case scenario.

The next two things that need to happen are that Pfizer needs to submit its data around

the end of September and the FDA approval which will take another 4 to 6 weeks.

This comes as hospitalizations of children continue to rise, and we're seeing record

numbers of infected children.

However, on the bright side, if you look at the COVID data numbers overall, they're officially

declining across the country and are down 5% over the past 14 days.

And this weekend, some reactions to the Biden administration's new vaccine mandates have

been predictably negative in certain pockets of the country.

Yesterday, a hospital in upstate New York announced that it will stop delivering babies

this month after at least six unvaccinated maternity staffers resigned over the hospital's
